Functional Fitness Gym in Portland, OR
Nobody walks in strong.
That's the whole point.
Iron Keep Fitness is a functional fitness gym in Southeast Portland with a coached path built for people who have never touched a barbell. Your first step is a free intro — a conversation with a coach, not a workout.
Always coached
A coach leads every class start to finish. You are never handed a workout and left alone.
Scaled to you
Everyone does the same workout at their own weight and pace. That is how the method is designed.
Six days a week
Classes run early morning through evening so you can train around work and life.
Most started at zero
The majority of our members had never done functional fitness before they walked in.
NEW TO THIS
Start here.
The hardest part is walking through the door, and we know it. So here is exactly what happens — no surprises, no pressure, and nothing you need to already be fit enough for.
Free Intro
About 45 minutes, one-on-one with a coach. You talk about what you want, they listen and answer questions. No workout, no commitment, no sales pitch.
Forge Foundations
Four private sessions to learn the movements, build confidence, and find your starting point before group class.
Join the house
You move into regular classes already knowing what everything is called, how to scale it, and who to ask. That is the difference between showing up and belonging.
WHO WE ARE
A Gym For Every Starting Point

PROGRAMS
Multiple ways to train here
Everyone trains in the same room. What changes is the coaching path, the weight on the bar, and the pace you set.

Coach Chris came to Iron Keep Fitness as an athlete in 2014 and fell in love with it! Besides being a lifelong gym rat, Chris loves hiking, skiing, and finding good happy hour food! She loves the opportunity to continue growing as a coach and an athlete, and to pass along all the great coaching she’s received over the years. As a Masters athlete herself, Coach Chris is passionate about the Iron Keep Legends program. She not only is the head coach for the Legends class, she programs all their workouts and makes sure each Legend-ary athlete is maximizing their workouts to stay fit well into their senior years!

Adam Bleeker
Head Trainer & Squires Coach
Adam has been coaching CrossFit for seven years and has pursued coaching to become CrossFit Certified Levels 1 and 2. He has a love of all things athletic and when not cheering on athletes at Iron Keep he can be found pursuing rock climbing, football, martial arts, bodybuilding, and any other new way to push his body to the limit. Adam believes in body positivity and personal growth and loves CrossFit specifically because each workout can be transformational when an athlete finds the fire inside themselves to be better than they were before. After coaching at several gyms in the area, Adam has found a true community and home at Iron Keep Fitness.

Ryan Rasmussen
Coach - L1 Trainer
Ryan discovered CrossFit in 2019, rekindling his passion for athletic challenges reminiscent of the sports he's enjoyed over the years, such as football, wrestling, tennis and mountain biking. Since joining Iron Keep Fitness in 2021, he’s not only embraced the physical and mental challenges but also found joy in coaching. Guiding others through their fitness journeys—emphasizing consistent technique, pushing personal limits, and celebrating progress—has become a rewarding part of his daily life. Ryan is grateful for the supportive community at Iron Keep Fitness and looks forward to the challenges and triumphs each day brings.
Ryder Williams
Owner & Coach
Class: Rogue
Every guild needs someone who reads the room, finds the angle, and moves first. That's Ryder , precision and footwork from the boxing gym, pulled into CrossFit by a friend, chasing mastery ever since.
He's coached competitors and everyday athletes, run collegiate strength & conditioning at Mississippi University for Women (Columbus, MS), and served as an Army combat medic and leader of medics alongside armor, artillery, and Special Forces units , work that rewards staying calm and adapting fast when the plan breaks.
He asks of you what he asks of himself: be the best at whatever's in front of you, train with an adventurous spirit, find the joy and courage in the hard stuff.
When he's not in the Keep, you'll find Ryder and Lindsey deep in a campaign ,the same D&D and fantasy roots that built this gym from the ground up.
